Trio Mel Bonis
Trained by Ulysse Aragau on cello, Jean Pierre Morel on violin and Yolande Kouznetsov on piano.
Ulysse Aragau (cello), Yolande Kouznetsov (piano) and Jean-Pierre Morel (violin) met during their studies at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Lyon. Their friendly and musical affinities led them to form the Mel Bonis Trio in 2008, within the conservatory.
All three left in 2011, each with a TB mention in their Master2 performing musician diploma, and they began to give a few concerts together.
These three musicians lead, alongside the trio, a rich artistic life and collaborate with many renowned musicians, whether in orchestras or during festivals in France and abroad:
Ulysse Aragau works within the Orchester National des Pays de la Loire, he regularly performs in chamber music concerts with the musicians of the orchestra alongside the concert season.
Yolande Kouznetsov, pianist from Lyon, won 2nd prize at the Agropoli international piano competition (Italy). She regularly collaborates with internationally recognized artists (Philippe Raskin, Levon Chatikyan, Svetlana Eganian...). She also plays in solo piano recitals, with orchestra, in France and abroad.
Jean-Pierre Morel works within the Bordeaux National Orchestra. He was previously selected from a large number of candidates to participate in the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, an orchestra allowing young musicians to work with the best conductors and soloists on the planet. He won 1st prize in the Vatelot-Rampal international violin competition.
The Mel Bonis trio seeks to be recognized, particularly by the Lyon public who saw it form. His performances seduce the public both by the choice of works and by their quality (trios by César Franck, D.Shostakovich, P.I.Tchaikovsky among others...).
